Foundation of the company "D+P, Dosier- und Prüftechnik GmbH"
At the beginning of the year Herbert Faaß founds his company with the name "D+P, Dosier- und Prüftechnik GmbH" as a one-man business. The company's headquarters are rented in Bopfingen-Trochtelfingen.
After only six months, the first employee is hired and a modern CNC milling machine is purchased. The production of complicated parts begins.
Development and patenting of the D+P flow meter SMG
Design and manufacturing at D+P focuses mainly on smaller fixtures, manual workstations and small machines. The first 2-axis CNC-controlled machine with sealant application station is delivered.
The highlight: Only one year after foundation, D+P develops and patents the "flow meter SMG" for monitoring viscous media. Now the rented property can be purchased and thus the company can be expanded.
Development of high pressure barrel pumps
D+P is constantly developing: its own barrel pumps (for conveying greases and pasty media) are manufactured in its own production facilities.
A new office wing extends the company premises.
Constant personnel development
By now, the company has five employees, a solid customer base and positive opportunities for further development.
From this point on, at least one new employee is hired every year, the machinery is constantly expanded and old machines are replaced by new and modern ones.
Also new: D+P has become a training company for skilled workers.
Company expansion through the construction of a new assembly hall
The customer base now also includes major customers. These appreciate D+P as a specialist for modern and highly complex individual solutions in the field of dosing, testing and assembly technology.

10 years D+P
Looking back at 10 years of D+P: A medium-sized company has emerged.
Thanks to the dedicated employees, technicians and skilled workers: D+P's excellent reputation precedes itself.
Own quality assurance through certification
according to DIN EN ISO 9001
The high quality standard at D+P receives certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001. As of May, the company introduces its own quality assurance system.
Supraregional further development: Participation in regional trade fairs in Sindelfingen and Sinsheim expands the customer base.
New building due to company relocation to Nördlingen
The premises in Trochtelfingen are no longer sufficient for the current 24 employees. And the expansion possibilities there are also exhausted. Therefore a modern new building with office building, production and assembly hall is arranged.
With the move to Nördlingen in the Emil-Eigner-Straße, further modernization measures also take place there:
D+P is the second small company in the whole of Germany to introduce the SAP software program.
20 years of D+P
Award of the Anton Jaumann Innovation Prize
The 20th anniversary of the company takes place.
In honor of this occasion, the company is awarded the "Anton Jaumann Innovation Prize" for its exceptional achievements in flow measurement technology.
Tobias Faaß becomes second CEO
From this year on, there is a second managing director besides the founder Herbert Faaß: Tobias Faaß, who has already been working in the company since 2003, supports his father and founder of the company in the management with immediate effect.
Major trade show appearance at the Automatica in Munich.
The "Automatica" is the world's leading marketplace and the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics. This year, D+P successfully presents its own new developments of dosing technology there.
A quarter of a century D+P
D+P celebrates its 25th anniversary!
Within a quarter of a century, D+P has managed to grow into an internationally active and innovative company.
Addition of office and hall space and
New construction of a production hall
Almost exactly 10 years after the new building and moving into Nördlingen, another extension is necessary. The building is increased by 300 m²; a production hall and a vehicle wing are added.
Currently the company already has 45 employees and 3 trainees.
Expansion of the training focus
The previous training focus is now being expanded from purely technical professions to include commercial areas.

The need to work with standard cells has arisen from our daily work.
Therefore, we have developed our own modular construction principle of assembly and palletizing standard cells.

The area of special machinery and plant engineering has now established itself as a permanent product area.
Renewed certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015
Herbert Faaß retires from the management as of December 31, 2018, thus placing the management of the family business entirely in the hands of his eldest son Tobias Faaß.
Conversion and modernization at D+P
In the course of the continuous growth of D+P, comprehensive extension and modernization measures on and in the buildings are necessary:
Expansion of the assembly hall and goods reception; redesign of the terrace. There are also plans to add one floor to the office building.
